Creating Work requests

Operations Center is a work management system built for security. You can view, create, and update Work requests directly in Web App, making it easier to manage tasks, while providing visibility on the Operations Center board. Before you begin

Ensure that an Operations Center license is purchased, and the Operations Center plugin is installed and configured in Security Center. For more information about setting up Operations Center, see Operations Center Plugin for Security Center.

What you should know

You can create two types of Work requests:
Generic Work request
This type of work requested can be used to track anything work related and is not linked to any specific entity.
Entity-linked Work request
This type of work request can be used to track concerns related to a specific entity.

Procedure

To create a generic Work request follow these steps:
  1. Click Work requests () and click in the Work requests side pane.
  2. Enter the details in the Create a work request dialog and click Create.
To create an entity-linked Work request follow these steps:
  1. In the Navigation menu, click Tiles.
  2. Click Browse () to find the entity or layout you want to raise a work request for.
  3. Double-click or drag the entity or layout to a tile.
    Note:
    Work requests can only be created for camera entities.
  4. Right-click the tile to display the entity controls.
  5. Click Create a work request.
    1. Enter these details in the work request:
      • Select the Type of work request.
      • Enter a Title for your work request.
      • Enter a Description of the work being requested.
    2. Click Create.
