Creating a reusable tile layout in the Genetec Web App

To provide users with quick access to a consistent view of certain entities, you can create reusable tile layouts.

1. From the vertical navigation bar, click Tiles.

   

2. Click Change tile pattern and select a tile pattern.
   1. (Optional) In the drop down list, select Save layout to save the tile pattern.
   Note:

   When saving a layout, if a layout with the same name already exists in the selected sections, the user is alerted and prompted to either cancel the action or confirm the overwrite of the existing layout.

   

3. Click Browse ().

   

   A panel opens, displaying the entities available to the user.
4. To monitor an entity, double-click it or drag it onto the tiles area.
5. Right-click any tile and select Save layout.
   The Save layout dialog box opens.
6. Specify the details of the tile layout:

   Name

   Enter a name for the tile layout.

   Association

   Select the area that the tile layout belongs to.

   Note:

   This field is only displayed for users who have the Modify area properties privilege.

   Partitions

   Select the partition that the layout belongs to.

   Note:

   This field is only displayed for users who have the Modify layout properties privilege and belong to more than one partition.

7. Click Save.
   The layout is displayed in the list of areas and entities, nested under its associated area or Directory.
