Triggering Mission Control incidents manually

If an emerging situation does not automatically trigger an incident, you can trigger it manually from the Genetec™ Web App Maps task.

What you should know

You can trigger incidents from either the Incidents list panel or by right-clicking on a geographic map. You can choose from a list of incident types configured by your administrator.

Procedure

  1. Select the map where the incident is occurring, and either:
    • Click Incidents (White lightning bolt) to open the Incident list panel.
    • Right-click a location on a geographic map.
  2. Click Trigger incident.
  3. In the Trigger incident dialog box, select an incident to trigger.

  4. (Optional) Click the Location list and select the area or entity where the incident is occurring.
  5. (Optional) In the Comment field, enter a short description.
  6. Click Trigger.
    The incident is created and appears in the list and on the map (Lightning bolt in blue circle.) with the state New. You can only see the incident that you create if you are a configured recipient of that incident type.

Monitor, investigate, or resolve triggered incidents.
