- About intrusion detection areas
  An intrusion detection area entity represents a zone (sometimes called an area) or a partition (group of sensors) on an intrusion panel.
- Triggering alarms
  To activate an alarm, you can trigger it manually from the notification tray in the Genetec™ Web App.

- Forcing acknowledgment of all alarms

Triggering hot actions

You can trigger hot actions in the Genetec™ Web App using the function keys on your keyboard, or from the notification tray.

What you should know

A hot action is an action that is mapped to function keys on a keyboard.
To trigger a hot action in the Genetec Web App, hold Shift and press a function key. For example, pressing Shift+F1 triggers the first hot action in the list.
Note:
Hot actions must be mapped from Security Desk before the hot actions menu appears in the Genetec™ Web App.
Depending on your browser, some function keys might already have associated browser-based commands. To verify how to trigger your hot actions, consult the Hot actions () menu.

Procedure

Do one of the following:

In the notification tray, click Hot actions () and select one from the list.
Hold the Shift key and press a function key.
